Design Boards
I’ve heard lots of recommendations about using the PicMonkey app for creating style or mood boards when designing a space. Since we have moved into the new house and have quite a few remodeling plans I thought I should get more organized with my ideas and help narrow down what we want.
The app is quite user friendly and it didn’t take me but a few minutes to get going assembling design boards for the kids bedrooms and the master bathroom. I’m only using the free features within the app at this point.
When finding pictures of furniture or other pieces I already own I used Pinterest to search for similar pieces. From there I screenshot and crop the photos so they are ready to be added to the board. Then I can add in the pieces I’m debating on like the drapes for their rooms and see which combinations I like the best.
I could see this also being a helpful way to go about planning a party, holiday decor, flower gardens or landscaping, inspirational items – many different options. It has been really fun getting a visual of what a room could look like!

Hi! I’m Emily Saladino and I am excited to be sharing ideas on lifestyle, homemaking, child rearing and spiritual growth. My husband, Josh, and I have 3 kids that we are raising in western Michigan where I am originally from. We aren’t in our forever home yet – in the process of searching and praying for the perfect piece of land or existing house that just speaks to us – out in the country with space to roam. Both of us are Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and I work part time to stay home with the kids the majority of the week. I enjoy decorating, fashion, cooking and overall management of our home – striving to make it healthy, happy and slowing down the pace of life. Hopefully this page can be a place of inspiration and add value to your day
